After learning the animation ropes working under greats like Anthony Lucas ('Slim Pickings'), Andi Spark ('Li'l Elvis Jones And The Truckstoppers') and Richard Mueck (
'Li'l Horrors') Justine joined Southern Ladies Animation Group and helped to make 'It's Like That'. The film toured film festivals around the world, raising awareness about children in Australian detention centres.

Justine went on to write and direct animated films including 'Snow', 'Subjacent' and 'INK', which won Best Animation at Melbourne International Animation Festival. Justine's next animation is in pre-production and tells the story of an ostracised girl and her goat, as they struggle to survive a perilous primary school.
